What are your most frequently asked RFA questions?

“What would the boys do if …” usually followed by a comfort-type scenario. While I don’t exactly mind, I do want to encourage people to imagine these characters as they’d like. And they’re comfort characters by nature. So whatever’s troubling you? You can imagine them comforting you. 😊

How would the RFA boys react if the listener was crying after waking up from surgery?

They would comfort her. Tell her she did well, offer water, blankets, hugs, ice chips. Whatever she needed.

How would the rfa boys react to the listener having braces and she always covered her mouth when she smiles or laughed since she didn't like it?

They’d be encouraging and tell her she didn’t need to cover it. I often covered my laugh, because I got made of for it as a kid. My husband gradually got me to stop.

What would the RFA boys order from a coffee shop?

I don’t drink coffee, so I’m woefully unqualified to answer this question.

How would the RFA boys react if the listener was trying to tell them a scary story?

I think they’d mostly enjoy it. Linus might be a little jumpy. Derek would pretend not to be into it or nervous, but Jack would scare him somehow, and Derek would jump and squawk

How would the rfa boys react to the listener having a sleep paralysis episode?

I mean, as someone who has it quite a bit, they wouldn’t be able to tell from the outside. You just look like you’re sleeping. If she was distressed by it, they’d hug and comfort her afterwards.

How would the RFA boys react if the listener asked them out on a date?

Jack, Brian, Jim, and Alex would all smile and happily accept. Linus would make a bunch of flustered sounds before saying yes. Derek would probably tease you a bit and then say yes. Will would be flattered but decline. With what we know about Emerson after the phone call, he’d probably also say no.

How would Linus react to accidentally hurting the listener while trying to heal her?

He’d apologize profusely and try to make it up to her. He has enough medical training not to freak out

How would the rfa boys react to the listener trying to scare them? Who would get slightly scared or not?

I think that Derek, Linus, Jim, and maybe Jack would jump. I think the others wouldn’t.

I’m sure there’d be an epic game of volleyball. They could do Army vs Navy with a civilian on each side! 😂

I think some of them probably are. I don’t know that I have a final decision on it.

They’d probably chuckle and roll with it. Derek may be unfamiliar with the tradition. (It may be different than when my mom grew up; it wasn’t a big deal then in Ireland)

The only one I’ve explicitly decided on is that Will was raised Mormon (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints). I don’t know how active he is during the story, considering all the swearing 😅 I’m not religious, so it doesn’t interest me to spend time coming up with answers for the others.

She was upset and distraught. She just didn’t have much time to process it.

They’d go with her. Hold her hand, distract her. Over stuffed animals or a blanket if she likes that.

He’d be very happy and probably hover over her a bit. Makes tons of food.

I believe I’ve answered this before. They’d hold her hand and distract her. The medically trained guys probably have some tricks.

Hmm. I’m not sure. None really come up in canon. I’ll think about it.

No, that’s in reaction to Emerson telling him that the stairs are impassable.

I don’t think so? He does have nicknames for everyone though.

None of these guys have medical phobias, and I believe in the armed forces, you have to get more shots anyway. So they’d be fine.

🤷‍♀️ None of them have a phobia, so I think they’d all be normal about it.
